Birmingham, AL-November 4, 2008- Tip Tipton and Ann Hintz join Sterne Agee’s Alpharetta, Georgia, office. Tipton joins as the Branch Manager and Senior Vice President and Hintz joins as a Senior Registered Client Assistant.
Prior to joining Sterne Agee, Tipton spent his last eight years with Morgan Keegan in their Atlanta office. Tipton was with First National Bank (now Regions Financial) and then spent a number of years in the real estate development business in Gulf Shores, Alabama, before entering the brokerage business. He began his financial career with Shearson Lehman Hutton.
Tipton is originally from Selma, Alabama, and graduated from Birmingham Southern College with a degree in business. Tipton and his wife, Becky, have five grown children and ten grandchildren. In his spare time he enjoys golf and shooting sporting clays.
Prior to joining Sterne Agee, Hintz has worked at Paine Webber, Shearson Lehman Hutton, Raymond James, and most recently Morgan Keegan. She is originally from Michigan but moved to Georgia with husband Ken in 1993. They have a daughter and twin grandchildren. She is Series 7 licensed.
